What is 19 Nor DHEA?


19 Nor DHEA is the prohormone of choice for many people looking to improve their overall lean muscle mass. Prohormones are substances that get converted into hormones in the body that amplify the effects of the steroids already in your body. Prohormones like 19-Nor are the most powerful type of supplement you could take if you’re looking to increase testosterone and build muscle mass. 19-Nor-DHEA is a precursor to nandrolone and is known and identified by many names, including 19-Norandrostenedione, 17beta-Hydroxy 19 Nor 4 Androsten 3 One, Estrenolone, Nandrolone, Norandrostenolone, and Nortestosterone.  Nandrolone is similar to testosterone in some ways, but it is six times more anabolic than testosterone which results in improved muscle mass. [2] Chemically, the structure of 19-Nor-DHEA differs from testosterone in that it’s missing the number 19 carbon atom and the attached hydrogen atoms. The flatter three-dimensional chemical structure results in fewer side effects for prostate and other sexual tissues and improved skeletal muscle binding, which increases the desired effects. This means nandrolone has anabolic effects that take place in muscle, but fewer androgenic effects which occur in sexual tissues. Serious bodybuilders love nandrolone for its ability to bulk, create mass gains, cut, and increase energy, endurance, and recovery.

Estrogen Advantages of 19-Nor-DHEA
While 19-Nor-DHEA doesn’t quite compare to the potency of nandrolone decanoate, an illegal steroid, 19-Nor-DHEA converts to nandrolone in the liver and the lack of estrogen and dihydrotestosterone (DHT) effects can prevent the unfortunate side effects of gynecomastia, hair loss, and acne that are generally experienced by individuals taking testosterone. 19 Nor is metabolized slowly, and only converts about 20% to estrogen versus testosterone. 19-Nor-DHEA  Recommendations
When using 19-Nor-DHEA you must use it in cycles to prevent the body from adjusting to higher levels of nandrolone. Cycle on with 19-Nor-DHEA for four to six weeks, and then cycle off from at least four weeks before repeating. It’s a good practice to cycle off for the same length of time as your on-cycle.

To maximize your results, it’s recommended that you take between 100 mg and 250 mg of 19-Nor-DHEA one to three times per day. On any day that you will be working out, take one of your doses about 30 minutes before your workout.

When taking prohormones like 19-Nor-DHEA, we always recommend also taking an on-cycle support product, like Pillar, to help support your liver functioning. Prohormones can apply stress on the liver, which is why it is recommended to cycle on and off, and to increase your health with on cycle support during your 19-Nor-DHEA and other prohormone cycles.

19 NorDHEA for Women
Most prohormones cannot safely be used by women, but 19-Nor-DHEA is one of the few that women could take and receive some benefits without significant negative side effects. Women using 19-Nor-DHEA should take the lowest effective dose possible. Start with 50 mg per day on training days only and monitor your results. If all is well, increase to 100 mg per day.

After Using 19-Nor-DHEA
When you are off the 19 Nor DHEA cycle, it is important that you don’t just stop taking the supplements cold-turkey. Meaning, you need Post Cycle Therapy, or a PCT, such as Descend, to help you bring your levels back down to normal limits gently.
